Launched in Chiba in 2001, Future Terror now celebrates 25 years. Spanning two floors at O-EAST, the event will assemble a lineup that embodies the current frontier of dance music, reflecting the vision DJ Nobu and Future Terror have cultivated over the years.
The main floor at O-EAST will feature a supreme B2B set between DJ Nobu and Wata Igarashi. DJ Nobu is known for his wild, unpredictable narratives, intuitively manipulating the dancefloor's energy. In stark contrast, Wata Igarashi is defined by meticulously calculated sound design and rigid, psychedelic grooves constructed with machine-like precision. While both have established formidable presence at major festivals and key venues worldwide, their approaches are strikingly opposed. The intersection of these two artists, who have shared deep mutual respect on the circuit for years, promises a multi-dimensional and thrilling sonic dialogue.
Also joining the main floor is Future Terror resident DJ Yazi, who consistently delivers one-of-a-kind techno laced with industrial, smoky grooves. VJ Kozee will direct the visual aesthetics, continuing to expand Future Terror's worldview, while Ryusuke Tsuchiya—a PA with a deep understanding of the FT sound—will helm the audio, ensuring a highly immersive environment built on uncompromising acoustic design.
Meanwhile, the 3F floor will unfold a deep, sustained groove—a different vector from the main room's intense tension. This floor is spearheaded by a rare B2B session between YAMA, a leading figure in the Kansai underground based at newtone records, and Kabuto, a resident of Higashi-Koenji GRASSROOTS whose exceptional skills have earned him unwavering trust worldwide. Joining them are Akie, who fluidly traverses genres to embody the scene's new currents, and Kugel, Future Terror's rising star known for his hypnotic sets.
This night stands as both the culmination of a quarter-century of sonic exploration and a defining milestone for the next phase. As a definitive showcase of where the Japanese techno scene stands today, this is an unmissable event.
