Toronto-based Chinese DJ/producer Ciel will perform a live set for the first time in Japan, at MIDNIGHT EAST.

Ciel aka Cindy Li is known as a member of the internationally-renowned women & LGBTQIA+ DJ collective Discwoman and co-owner of the Parallel Minds label. She’s been touring worldwide these past years, playing her trademark soft-touched slammers at many of esteemed clubs, top-tier festivals and popular radio stations, while continuing to host her own parties, produce music and work as an activist. Ciel has visited Japan three times with her DJ sets, but this time she will bring her latest live set to Spotify O-EAST’s 3F. From local, a DJ/producer Bushmind who’s also a member of Rockasen/Sangeki no Mori, and 7e, who played with Ciel last year as well and provided a mix for her regular show on Rinse FM in the UK this past June, and Ascalypso, the Osaka based DJ and a member of party unit Glocal Pussys are lined up.

In Azumaya, Kimoji from Jakarta club ZODIAC and KZA, one half of Force Of Nature, and DNG from house music collective CYK, and Atsuko Satori from PALM BABY will select music.
