Denki Bodhisattva“A pure light of inspiration shining amidst a chaotic society. DENKI BOSATSU, emerging from a world of profound darkness to illuminate the path toward transcendence.”

That worldview finally takes shape at MIDNIGHT EAST.

Since its launch in 2021, <DENKI BOSATSU> has expanded its activities from Tokyo clubs and secret venues to cities across Asia.

The theme for this event is “FACE2FACE.”

The DJ booth is dragged from the stage onto the dance floor, where DJs face each other head-on right in the midst of the audience. Furthermore, in collaboration with <ginsengmuseum>—an independent platform that documents and connects the new generation of youth and underground culture originating in Asia—the event will span two floors at MIDNIGHT EAST (O-EAST / Azumaya).

 Cultures that transcend the boundaries of countries, cities, and communities will collide, blend, and transform into something new.

At O-EAST, four pairs—DANDAN vs. ERIMIYA, TEI TEI vs. Mars89, Kanon vs. Egomania, and Rick Shinmi vs. Hinode—who differ in both generation and roots, will clash in “FACE2FACE” battles. MUSCLE∞BROTHERS will also perform.

The very dynamics between these DJs—each hailing from distinct scenes—will be become part of the performance itself, where techno, bass, gabber, happy hardcore, psychcore, and hitech—each with their own tempos and backgrounds—will intersect across the massive dance floor.

Azumaya floor is 〈ginsengmuseum〉, which documents and connects the next generation of underground culture with Asia as its starting point.

The lineup brings together EternalUSA, head of the London-based label 〈Star〉; Takuma Matsunaga, known for his albums *Chigau Nanika* and *Epoch* as well as his collaboration with 〈Minna no Kimochi〉; iga, who symbolizes the post-SoundCloud generation; Ken, head of 〈liQuid〉; Will Be Saiga, who produces sounds for next-generation rappers including Mall Boyz; and Taipei-based Troubl3p.

Tokyo, Fujino, Fukui, Taipei, London, and the internet. Expressions born from different lands, cultures, and communities intersect at Azumaya, giving rise to a new landscape that has yet to be named.
