The Berlin-based duo Sugar Free & Fonte will perform at MIDNIGHT EAST, on 3rd November (Sun/before holiday).

Since they crossed paths nine years ago in Madrid, Sugar Free and Fonte have become partners both in life and music, and now known as two of the must-see DJs in the digger community in Berlin. Sugar Free also produces music (two of her new tracks were used in the RA Podcast back in March), while Fonte has just launched his label Iceman Records this year.

The duo has been playing records that no one can tell ID of, in DJ booths, from big festivals such as Houghton or Dimension to clubs around the world, and finally make their Japan debuts. Sugar Free and Fonte will be joined by the Tokyo veteran MOODMAN, who has been DJing since the 80s. In 2023, MOODMAN, who still DJs almost every weekend somewhere, was invited to play at the legendary New Kids On Acid night (hosted by Zip, Ricardo Villalobos and Ata for many years) at Berlin’s Watergate club. Also, he was in charge of the sound design for the much talked about deep listening space <Yon>, which opened in Jimbocho, Tokyo in 2024.

Azumaya floor will be hosted by COWBOY FAMILY, a collective that has been making waves on the dancefloor in Tokyo and beyond as a party crew and, since 2024, as a record label. As a guest DJ, Levolant, who is also a member of Million Dollar Sounds and has recently performed at rural 2024 in Japan and THE AIRHOUSE 2024 in Korea will play, as well as Wada Yosuke, Rio Kawamoto and Torao from COWBOY FAMILY.
