JASSS

A Spanish DJ/producer JASSS is hitting MIDNIGHT EAST on 16th June.

Known for her industrial techno / EBM sound, JASSS released her critically acclaimed debut album “Weightless” on iDEAL Recordings in 2017, followed by  “Turbo Olé / We Solve This Talking” EP (AD93, 2020), and an album titled “A World Of Service” (Ostgut-Ton, 2021). In 2025, she started the audiovisual project ‘AWOS’, an acronym for her latest album, with a visual artist Ben Kreukniet. As a DJ, she is a resident of Berlin's infamous queer party Herensauna and has performed at some big festivals around the globe such as Dekmantel, Primavera, W.H.O.L.E. and Horst.

On her first visit to Japan in five years, JASSS will play alongside MAYUDEPTH, a Tokyo-based DJ who was a resident of the popular queer night MOTORPOOL and is currently co-organising the electronic music party VITAL, and Mars89, who launched his own label Nocturnal Technology that was inspired by ‘80s industrial and new wave sound last year.

Azumawa is curated by Arabesque, a techno party by Tokyo-based selector imus, featuring GOTH-TRAD, the headhoncho of Japan's finest dubstep party BACK TO CHILL, and Fukuoka-based DJ p.co who runs party/label SEXTANS.
